L-Menthol is the main component o f peppermint oil (Meiithax pfprifaL.), and its amount is known to increase as the plant matures. According to (Chalchat et al), harvesting should be carried out after flowering to obtain an oil that contains a high percentage of menthol. They concluded that the quality and quantity of oil improved for the second harvest
