Lavandula viridis is an aromatic shrub native to the Iberian Peninsula and has been traditionally used for medicinal purposes. Although essential oils from several Lavandula species have been extensively studied for their biological activities, research specifically addressing the bioactive potential of L. viridis essential oil remains limited. In particular, there are very few studies evaluating its effects against Leishmania species, and detailed investigations on this aspect are still lacking.
