Lavandula luisieri is an aromatic shrub endemic to the Iberian Peninsula and has a long history of use in traditional medicine. Its essential oil has been reported to exhibit strong antifeedant, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activities, and it is also recognized as a rich source of bioactive compounds effective against yeasts, dermatophytes, and Aspergillus species associated with food spoilage and human infections. However, despite these documented biological properties, studies evaluating the activity of L. luisieri essential oil against Leishmania species remain scarce.
