It has more than 80 species and 12 species occur in India. Economic Importance- Citronella oil used in flavouring of soaps, disinfectants, sprays, polishes, mosquito repellent, insecticidal activity, perfume and cosmetic industries. Also used in medicinal preparations for digestive system disorders.
